Thursday 4-8-10

So I get to the chemo doctor at 7:45 to find they switched my appointment to 9am. It seems Adahmi will not be in an I get to see Sue again. As I have said before, she is nice and all, but not my doctor.

In reviewing my file, I ask her about the anti nausea medication that I thought last time before my first round of chemo. She said that it is safer to take the pills a day before, the day of, and the day after the chemo. She said she noticed that I did not take the pill this time. Is there a reason I didn't want to or something. I don't think soooooo!!!! I told her I call to check on it and was told I didn't need tooooo. She then tries to cover for the PHONE NURSE, who I still think is a $3.50 phone nurse for someones fantasy, by saying she only went back to your last week of chemo and not your first week. It is better to take the pills, but we will give you the infusion today instead. It ain't the best thing for you Tom, but frankly Tom, I don't give a damn. If it were me, Yes, but you, tough it out big boy.

I then ask her about the diarrhea medicine she told me about that didn't work, Imodium. It's over the counter but in my case it just didn't stop the diarrhea. She then blurts out, oh yea, Taxitear is known to cause severe diarrhea. I guess I should have given you a scrip for this other stuff. I'll do that for you this week. Again she is a very nice lady, but they just don't listen to your concerns. She then comes out the real beauty. Today you l0ok so healthy and in good shape. I guess I need to see you when you have lost the 10 lbs and can't get out of bed. I'm really sorry you were sick, maybe this time we can catch it early.

I left feeling sooooooooo confident about this week. Oh yea, she thinks I'm supposed to get a CT Scan before the 23rd, but she will know for sure when I come back next week. Will I be seeing you? Or will I finally get to see Adahmi? Well you know Dr. Adahmi really doesn't work in Fort Wayne on Thursday, but I will see if he can see you first thing in the morning. About an hour later while I was take the chemo, I did get a card saying I will be seeing Adahmi at 7:45 next Thursday. I wonder if I didn't say anything if I would have see Sue again. I think she let him know that I want to see the DOCTOR. He is the one making the BIG BUCKS!!

We will see what comes next. I'll keep you up to date day by day to see what happens this week. I'll try to keep it up beat no matter how I feel.

I'm such a real trooper aren't I. My friggen arm got stuck behing my back. I'll try to have it back by tomorrow. Tom
