July 8th. Wed.

I didn't post yesterday because it was Larry's birthday and I just could not ruin his day. I'm pretty sure I'm 6 years old than Larry and that would make him 61. I can't even remember back that far Larry. I think growing old is fun, isn't it?

I did have some sobering things happen yesterday. I started this blog to keep track of what was happening along the way. Thank God I kept notes when the doctor was first talking to me. I had written down that I was supposed to see Dr. Rushing after my third round of chemo. When I received the appointment card from his office it was for August 13, that was after my fourth round of chemo. I called the office yesterday to find out I was right. UPS, I also found out that he had written down that I was to get a scan after the third round but the nurse is pretty sure he meant a MRI. I know he said MRI when we spoke in June because he wants to see the Sarcoma and what it looks like. All I'm saying is you better take notes and remember what is said when your talking to any professional. They are all so busy these days that they can all make mistakes. It's up to you to make sure they don't make a mistake on you. As I have said before, they practice medicine and if you let them they will practice on you.

The other frustration is that damn pool heater. Louis was hear for like three hours trying to get it to work. It will go on for about 10 to 15 seconds and then shuts off. I've now gone through three different EXPERTS on the phone from Hayward and now I have the local EXPERT coming out today or tomorrow. They want me to know that if it isn't their problem that I will have to pay for the service call. I've spent over a grand on this damn thing and now they think it's my fault. I'll keep you informed on the progress.

I'll post this early so you that follow on the west coast will think I did it last night. I'll probably post again today.

Not much happened, the pool guy never showed up and the pool was not that worm. It stayed in the 50's until 10am or so. I did get a new lock for the front door and learned a lot about old lock and how to find something that will replace the old dead bolt. Brian is trying as I write to put the new bolt lock in. It ain't easy, trying to put a square peg in a round hole. I'm feeling fine and I will feel better when I get this house locked up again.

More tomorrow.
