July 15th. Wed. Hump day.

Just two more days of chemo and then I get to have some real fun. Next Tuesday I get my heart muggin. That's where they draw some blood and you sit there for 30 minutes while it ages and then they put it back into you and have you lay in a X-Ray type machine for fifteen minutes, perfectly still. That will determine if my heart will be able to take the fourth round of chemo. If not they will have to schedule surgery and take the Sarcoma out at that time. It is better to have the fourth round of chemo because it works on the Sarcoma and gets it ready for the surgery. It also continues to kill any other cancer that may be in my body. I'm praying for the fourth round.

Then on Wed. next week I get to have another MRI. The last one took one hour and thirty five minutes because they first thought I just had a torn bicep and didn't need to put any dye in my arm, but once they saw the pictures they realized it was not a torn bicep, and they had to shoot some dye in. I'm very claustrophobic and the only way I would get into the machine was backwards. I told them I really did want the MRI but I just could not stick my head that far in. They finally found a chair that I could rest my legs and feet on and they put in backwards. I told the girl that was making the appointment to tell them that I was the guy that had to go in backwards and they said they remembered me and that they would do it again. The other killer is you have to lay there motionless. All I did the last time was laid there and prayed. I also shut my eyes so I could not see what was happening. Oh yea, I also took two pain pills before I left for the procedure. I still have some good ones left.

I had to take the last of the pills for nausea etc. and they make me very dizzy. I also have to be very careful in the sun because the other medicine makes me sensitive to the sun. Tomorrow should be a much better day and I should be starting to feel a little better.

Tune in tomorrow for the continuing story for Tom's BS. You can take that however you wish. By the way my blood sugar seems to be settling back to normal. My apatite is not all that great so it's easier to keep it under control when you don't eat much. No Hot Fudge Brownie Delights, maybe a cookie, but nothing over 200 calories.

More tomorrow.
Tom
